TMP Designer

Safe Road Services are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate TMP Designer to join our Traffic Management Plan design team. Our TMP division covers the greater Waikato and Auckland regions for designing, submitting, reviewing and consulting on Traffic Management Plans.

Our TMP design team currently consists of two full time designers who are responsible for designing and submitting TMP’s that are fit for purpose and offer a high standard of safety and compliance.

In this role you will report directly to the TMP Division Manager and will be based from either our Hamilton or Kopu office (whichever is nearest to your residence). You will have regular assistance from our TMP Division team and given the necessary tools and support to uphold a high standard of TMP design.

The successful candidate for this role will hold;

• A minimum qualification of STMS Level 1 / CAT AB,
• Proven experience in TMP design and the use of CAD based design software such as AutoCAD or Rapid plan (our designers use Rapid plan software),
• A reputable background in the traffic management industry,
• An excellent knowledge of the requirements for specific road classifications, volumes and constraints and the ability to design a TMP that suits these requirements,
• An excellent and up-to-date knowledge of CoPTTM guidelines,
• An understanding of the various Road Controlling Authorities and representatives within these RCA’s as well as their individually preferred conditions, standards, and CAR software,
• A broad knowledge of workspace requirements for varying work types such as utilities, civil contractors, roading and infrastructure contractors, tree works contractors,
• Experience in client relations and operational thinking with excellent interpersonal skills,
• Proficient with a variety of computer programs and quick with learning new apps or software, as our business is run primarily on cloud and app-based systems,
• Be motivated, and willing to go the extra mile to ensure deadlines are met and workloads are managed.
