AMI Insurance & Safe Road Services Collaborate on Driver Fatigue Prevention

The arrival of Easter brings an increase of travellers heading away to the beach for the long weekend to soak up the sun and enjoy all the Coromandel has to offer. Many travellers come from the Waikato and Auckland regions, which can be quite a distance to travel, even when not contending with traffic.

Promoting Driver Fatigue Prevention

AMI insurance set up a great initiative to assist New Zealand motorists with managing driving fatigue during these long journeys with their Driver Reviver events held across the country on Easter weekend. As New Zealand’s leading provider of effective event traffic management, Safe Road Services was proud to support this initiative and assisted AMI insurance for their event in Kopu on Easter Friday. Safe Road Services contributed by designing the traffic management plan, installing notification message boards, pre-setting no parking equipment, setting up the closure and detour route, managing drivers in and out of the parking areas on the day, and handing out lollies to attendees.

Some great organisations such as St Johns and the Red Cross were involved this year and provided helpful information on preventing driver fatigue while offering free coffee and food to revive weary travellers. SRS think these events are a great way to provide education and assistance to manage driver fatigue and hopes to support future Driver Reviver events held by AMI insurance with our traffic management services for events.
